Products I’ved Used

I’ve been using products from the brand Zelens for well over a year now, I tried and tested a bunch of their products; I’m a real fan you could say.

Zelens is a science-driven, natural skincare brand with products formulated by its founder and plastic surgeon Dr Marko Lens. I was drawn to the brand because of the combining of advanced and bio-tech ingredients with quality botanical extracts.

The products have a sophisticated, luxe vibe and the clinical studies that comes along with this brand are encouraging.

Here are my thoughts on the products I’ve tried;

𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘍𝘰𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘳 – This was a decent non-stripping foaming cleanser. I love a good water-based cleanser and foam cleansers are the type I gravitate to. It’s a mild exfoliating cleanser containing fruit acids, enzymes and probiotics. After I finishing this product in June of this year, I wasn’t inclined to re-purchase as it was hard to say if it did exfoliate my skin. I generally found this cleanser to be nothing remarkable but did the job of a cleanser.

𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘤 & 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘣𝘪𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘍𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘵 – This mist was very hydrating and soothing; the plant humectants and blend of probiotics and probiotics make this product rather unique. The prebiotics help rebalance microflora and the probiotics aid in the skin renewal process. Overall I found this mist to be moisturising compared to other mists I’ve tried and it seemed to coat the skin in a layer of hydration which it’s fine mister packaging helped to do. Packaging ✅ Formula ✅

𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘈 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘋𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘴 – This is their retinol which contains 3 types of retinoids and vitamin E. It’s a gentle retinol but still very effective! One of my favourite products of theirs and I’m currently on my 2nd bottle! This has been great for my acne skin as it helps with skin turnover and speeding up that process. I found that on the 3rd day of applying these drops at night, areas, where I had new hyperpigmentation marks, would get very dry and eventually after that week would peel/fall off! This certainly helps with smoothing the skin in a non-harsh or super drying way. One of my favourite things about this product besides the efficacy is the texture. The actual formulation of this retinol is unlike most others; it’s an oil-like serum (looks like an oil but doesn’t feel particularly oily) It’s very lightweight and has a divine silky texture which I’m so in love with! it honestly makes my evening routine such a pleasurable experience; and I look forward to using it every night. Efficacy ✅ Texture ✅ Satisfaction ✅✅✅

𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘋 – This one is fantastic also, and the concept of Vitamin D / Pro-vitamin D in topical skincare is an interesting one for sure! This serum aims to fortify the skin barrier and protect the skin against environmental damage. Like most/all their products this has a pleasant scent of shiso, and again I like the lightweight serum/oil-like texture it has. I found this serum to be soothing; i.e. when I suffered irritations this would calm down that inflammation, like redness and bumps. Vitamin D; when converted to such in the body, has restorative properties and helps to protect against free radicals. I’ve personally found this product most helpful for days I probably needed a break from exfoliating and using ‘actives’. I’m still on my first bottle and for 30ml, this certainly lasts a while, especially if like me you’re not using it every day.

𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘊 – This is their stable vitamin C serum and I’m currently on the fence about it. The texture of it on the skin feels slightly different to their other treatment drops but is equally as lush. I’ve been using this serum since early this year and the beginning of summer I took a break from it. I suppose I wanted a visible difference in my skin to then attest to the efficacy of it. I can’t say it’s brightened my skin at all but this does indeed feel like a superior vitamin C despite it being a derivative as opposed to pure L-Ascorbic Acid. I like the idea of using vitamin C for its antioxidant benefits alone but this particular one isn’t on my repurchase list.

𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘌𝘺𝘦 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 – If you follow me on Instagram, I’ve raved about this being one of my favs! it’s luxury in a little pot. Efficacy ✅ – The triple-action refers to dark circles, fine lines and puffiness. I do get puffy eyes and can say with confidence, this product has been a huge help in targeting that concern. Smooth, bright eyes ✅✅✅

𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘹 𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 – This night cream/treatment contains high-tech peptides and skin-renewing ingredients. It’s great; really does deliver on the claims: Smooth, supple skin ✅ Works overnight ✅✅ Luxe ✅✅✅ – defiantly on my repurchase list but don’t need it immediately.

𝘗𝘏𝘈+ 𝘉𝘪𝘰 𝘗𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘍𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘢𝘥𝘴 – PHA is super popular at the moment! and the first time I’d heard of this acid was actually through Zelens. I purchased this a couple of years ago now and found it a convenient way to exfoliate. I didn’t use these pads daily, so it did last me over 2 months despite there only being 50 pads in the tub. I was still very new to acid exfoliation at the time so was quite apprehensive about using this product too often (even though it’s one of the gentler acids) Overall I found these facial pads to be a hydrating product and I didn’t experience the drying typically caused by acid use and the pads are nicely soaked.

𝘓𝘪𝘱 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘖𝘪𝘭 -Another holy grail fav!! this product was a godsend for my lips. I’m obsessed with this lip oil because it Zelens sure but it’s also not just any lip oil.it contains 9 different plant oils as well as retinol and peptides; it’s an amazing concoction! The combination of botanical extracts and anti-ageing ingredients I found helped hydrate my lips; making them look plump and sensual. I’m on my third right now ✅✅✅

𝘡 𝘓𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘶𝘮 – I bought this along with the PHA pads to help with my dark spots/pigmentation; I didn’t see it help with that really and I guess that was my fault because this isn’t intended as a dark spot correcting product. It gave my skin an overall brightening but would say if you’re after something to get rid of post-acne pigmentation I would opt for their Power A and a good chemical exfoliator.

𝘋𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘋𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘚𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 – I just emptied this product and I honestly didn’t need to go through the whole thing to know this is my new favourite sunscreen!! The ingredients, the texture, the way it makes me feel ✅✅✅ This sunscreen is a chemical one that uses micro-encapsulation technology. The chemical filters in this sunscreen are coated in a “wall” so it doesn’t penetrate deep into the skin. So if you’re someone’s who’s wary of chemical sunscreens, this one’s a goodie. The price tag on this is a result of how pricy this technology process is. I’m one for chemical sunscreens; this one is spreadable, white-cast free and gives the skin a glow.

𝘉𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘋𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 – Their body sunscreen is a nice one too; I like the spray bottle it comes in though I would have preferred it to be made of glass. This way I guess it’s more travel-friendly since you do wanna take this out with you and top up without it breaking or spilling. I like the oil texture of this sunscreen; it’s unique though an issue I have with this one is the scent. It’s not the most pleasant; herbaceous – preferred if it were fragrance/scent free.

𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘙𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘬 – THIS IS A FANTASTIC MASK; just sad it’s so pricy. This product embodies for me what a mask should do! Since masks are this add on to a skincare regimen, expectations for it are either high or so so. Take sheet masks for example; they’re fab at hydrating and maybe you’ll see brightening effect with continued use but they’re a so so and frankly an inessential product. Clay masks kinda do the job at decongesting and they kinda don’t. This skin-renewing mask kinda does what it claims to do… more than kinda; it feels luxe – I mean it has pearl in it! It really does the instant thing! you wash it off and your skin is brighter ✅✅✅

It’s my favourite mask, but I can’t justify a repurchase right now.

𝘡-𝘔𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘶𝘮 – I’m so intrigued by this serum especially since it’s another unconventional skincare ingredient like their Pro-vitamin D drops.

𝘡 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘹 𝘌𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 & 𝘔𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 – I’m not really a daytime moisturiser kinda gal, but this seems like an ideal hydrating formula and since it’s a cream-gel, it should work well for my combo skin.

𝘡 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘮 – This seems like a good restorative product to have, like their Power D.

To summarise, Zelens is my favourite brand right now, I appreciate how innovative and different their skincare is; it would be great if they were a little more accessible by way of the price and their customer care seems a little non-existent at times. I will continue to buy their products as they satisfy me both in efficacy and ritual. Follow me on IG for my routines and updates – @ glowyskinbabe
